MARRIAGE THE WAY GOD CREATED IT

65

By Nastasia

Marriage should be lawful between a man and a woman only because any other way would be against what God intended for marriage. Procreation can only happen by way of a man and woman. God ordained marriage with that in mind. In retrospect, God laid the foundation and established the first law concerning marriage. To say that the law should be changed in order to recognize same gender marriages in the same manner as a marriage union between a male and female is unnatural. Marriage the way God created it is the perfect plan for society.

The implementation of same gender marriages goes against Gods’ principles, and in the end will cause our economy to suffer because when procreation is stopped the growth of a nation is hindered as well. Had God wanted one man and one woman to subdue the earth alone, or had He wanted same gender marriages to be the foundation of family, God would have made it so.

When God made man and woman, He told them to be fruitful and multiply. In other words, God wanted them to procreate. Procreation is how families are established. It was the perfect plan for humanity. Generations are established as the cycle of procreation continues. This is how society is built. As long as there are generations of families doing the very thing God had implemented, there will always be enough individuals to keep humanity growing economically as well.

Children are also to be taken into consideration. Women and men are created with different physical as well as mental attributes. Every child needs to have a balance of both female and male nurturing and influence in order to distinguish their roles in society and be well-balanced individuals for humanity. Is it true to say that laws and moral conduct is what has held this nation together over the years? Will a nation of moral corruption be the end result if people are allowed to marry within the same gender?

In conclusion, people have their own beliefs, moral standards, and choices. When considering life precious decisions such as marriage and rearing children every aspect must be examined. Marriage the way God created it is what this nation was built on and that is what has worked throughout history.

I agree with this hub 100%. I never understood how ppl go outside the laws of marriage the way GOD intended it to be, especially when they know it's wrong. Well said!

A very controversial issue, I believe God created man and woman to be fruitful and multiply. I do not believe in condemning anyone. I have met a few couples that were same sex partners. I must admit my views of them prior to meeting them were very skeptical. What I have found, a very loving environment for the child. Also, the couples are interested in providing the best education possible for their child and do not influence them in anyway of being attractive to the opposite sex. These couples have to go outside of the US to adopt.

Yes Powerpoe1, this is a very controversial issue. I do not believe in condemning others either. However, must stand by my views on this topic. How I see it, God has the final say, and this is how I live my life, based on the bible. I just do not think that it is necessary to alter Gods' original plan or His written word. Afterall, He is the creator of the universe! Thanks for the comment, and blessings in all your writings.

It's controversial, but so is God himself at the center of controversy today. Very few actually consider His perspective authoritative, or they say those who hold to Biblical principles aren't considering how society has changed. Just as The United States was founded on certain principles embodied in the United States Constitution, so the Christian view of marriage was founded on Scriptural principles. Now there are a number of people who believe the Bible and Constitution are both out of date because society has moved away from the principles they contain. Too many people no longer believe in absolutes, and for them everything is relative and the worst thing one can be is intolerant. As we move farther away from the principles of Scriptures in both morality and law, our society is falling apart because there is no longer a moral consensus. The google ad I'm seeing below this comments section right now is evidence of that lack of consensus.

thanks for the follow and welcome to HubPages. You are 'right on' with this hub, unfortunately those that are in-tolerant of the truth continue to call those of us who believe 'intolerant'. But that's ok, in the end "every knee will bow and every tongue will confess..." I can tolerate the 'intolerant for the truth', and the short lifetime here on earth. It's their decision to burn in an 'unbelievers' hell' after the judgement.

My question has always been what can a homosexual union produce? It can't produce life as God's plan does. Even the lower forms of life cannot accept homosexuality for this reason. It's just not right.

Romans 1:16 and following states it very clearly...

Voted up and beautiful!

blessings to you and yours...

Thank you for the comment WannaB Writer. I understand what you are saying, however,I find it sad that there are some people who feel that the Bible is out of date. Afterall, it is still the number one selling book on earth. That must say something not to mention that when there is a major disaster, everyone seems to call on God. I'm just saying.

Thanks again for the comment.

Nastasia, I agree it's sad, but until the Holy Spirit convicts people one by one, heart by heart, people aren't likely to turn to God, even if they do cry for help occasionally. When I was at UCLA in 1963, about ten Christians, including me, used to meet right outside the dining hall for prayer before dinner each night. Everyone knew it, some even came out to mock us. My (now) husband was the recognized leader of the Christians in that dorm, and the day President Kennedy was shot some of the other students who were not part of our group and not even Christians came to him and asked him to lead a prayer meeting for everyone that day. About 200 students came -- but only for that one day.

Wow! Isn't that something. Well you said it well, the Holy Spirit does the convicting!

Thanks again and be Blessed!

It's funny really when the Bible is used for creating morals and ethics when it suits the world but when they want to do something wrong they want no part of it. Great Hub and way to stand up and speak your peace about a very controversial subject.
